So, I guess this is going to be sort of a rant on my part. Merely because I am quite sick and tired of seeing people bash one another for such a thing. I get that there’s this need for some odd reason to take sides on every issue. And while that’s all well and good, and I don’t have a problem with that. Why be so down right hateful about it in the process? Why can’t we just stick to our respective sides, and enjoy stuff without constantly fighting about it? I feel like there’s an underlining subtext to all of this, and I think I have figured it all out. While simultaneously thinking to myself “Wow, this is what we argue about”? When we could be contributing to society in so much more positive ways. Well, could it be that we feel this overwhelming desire to be constantly right about something? Getting behind one company or the other, because it’s something we’ve all been conditioned to do?
And then I nailed it down, that one single word that turned on the light bulb for me. “Conditioned” yes that’s it this goes back to the beginning of time doesn’t it!?!? Divide and conquer, and makes one person push up against another. Just because a primal instinct says that we have to take a stand. Does it all really matter though? Some would say arguing about such things its preposterous. And I guess in that sense it is, why on Earth can we all not enjoy both equally, and stand together as one people in harmony. Ok, this is starting to get really political all of a sudden!! And I told myself I wouldn’t take it down this road, but how can you not when society has been about that since humans existed? We all have to fight about something, no matter the subject, what’s better? Chocolate or Peanut butter? Well, we all know how Reese’s solved that little issue don’t we? So, I guess that shows us that we can be molded to one another, and actually get along right?!?!
Or are we just doomed to continue down this road into obscurity? Because, quite frankly to me it’s not really accomplishing much. Other than the constant need to be right, even though there’s not to much to support whether either side is better. DC and Marvel have two totally opposite approaches to their writing altogether. Marvel has always claimed to be more “Kid Friendly” and fun loving type of stuff. Where as DC has its moments of complete hilarity and things you can laugh at. But they are more of a serious tone, and you can find things in those things that you enjoy. I guess what I am trying to say is this, there’s truly no need in this constant bickering of which is better. Because to be honest, doesn’t both do things that we can all enjoy and cherish? I suppose it depends on your personal perspective, but that’s mine and I hope you can appreciate it for what it is. =)
