Magic Magic “Short And Sweet Review”

Got the privilege of checking this film out a week ago. When I saw the trailer, I was really intrigued by it and wanted to watch it. It’s one of the those edges of your suspense thrillers you don’t see coming. The plot itself is kind of straight forward, you think this girl is going to get harassed by everyone. And she’s just playing the typical victim, but it throws a curve ball that I didn’t even see coming. Juno Temple plays a role that I haven’t ever seen from her.And she continues to impress me with her acting ability’s. I thought most of the other characters were a bit annoying and slightly generic, especially Michael Cera’s. It’s heavily centered around ritualistic things, as well as tiny bits and pieces of hypnotizing. Makes you really think that it’s all real, and it turns out to be just a smoke screen for a much larger problem. The build up was fantastic, but what really ticked me off was the end.Where it just kind of leaves you with very little resolution, which is fine for most movies. But it’s almost like it was cut off when things were just getting to the peak. Other than that, it was a decent film. And if you can look past the sort of weak supporting cast. I am sure you can find something meaningful in it as well. =)
