What Is Mental Illness To Me?

Maybe this will help someone…

I often describe deep seeded depression, like an animal encased in a room just outside your own. If left alone, and neglected it progressively begins to seep into your life. It becomes apart of you, and you really don’t even realize it until its too late. You take so many people down with you, suffocating them as you drown in your own misery. They want to help you, so they stay and endure it with you. Mental illness, there’s no solution other than to address it head on. I say its best to spend time with it, and feed it as much as you can. That’s the only way you can be better, the only way you can feel better. Overcoming it? If you really think that’s realistic you couldn’t possibly know a thing about what you’re dealing with. No one wins anything, you just do your best to keep it content. It can be neutralized, if you’re willing to spend quality time with it. It isn’t a fight they can help you with, they can only be there to root for you to get through it. Is it lonely? Yes, but its something you don’t have to let beat you.
